The best Cambridgeshire pumpkin patches to visit this October

Fall is in full swing and with Halloween not too far away, it’s time to think about pumpkins. Pumpkins are an absolute staple when it comes to spooky seasonal decorations.

While you can just go to the supermarket, half the fun is picking yourself up at a pumpkin patch. Finding the perfect pumpkin on which to carve some spooky and funny designs is a very important task!

Here in Cambridgeshire, there are several pumpkin patches that you can visit in search of the best pumpkins and some seasonal photos. Here are five pumpkin patches across the county that you’ll want to visit.

Skylark Garden Center

Location : Manea Road, Wimbington, March, PE15 0PE

The Skylark Garden Center is hosting its annual Halloween Week from October 17th to October 31st to get people into the Halloween spirit. During this week, people can not only pick their pumpkins, but also carve them and enjoy spooky entertainment.

It promises to be a “full-on, fun-filled family day out”. Tickets can be booked online in advance for £13 for children aged between 2 and 15, £11 for adults and under twos get in free.

Milton Maze Pumpkin Patch

Location : Rectory Farm, A10, Milton, Cambridge, CB24 6AE

This year, Milton Maze staff say they “hunted far and wide” to bring people even more pumpkins this year. People can find several different types of pumpkins from the classic orange to white, warty, striped and even pink pumpkins.

As well as pumpkin picking included in the ticket admission, visitors can also enjoy Halloween spectacular shows held twice a day. It is also the field of fun for many adventures and games.

Tickets cost £9.95 for adults and children and pumpkin prices start from 75p.

Worzals Garden Center

Location : Lynn Road, Wisbech PE14

At Worzals Garden Center, Rusty’s great pumpkin patch returns for 2026. The garden center promises “bigger adventures, more magical moments and an unforgettable day out”. The pumpkin patch offers over 80,000 pumpkin patches.

As well as pumpkin picking, visitors can enjoy themed experiences, delicious seasonal food and live character encounters. What makes the experience even better is that every person who buys a ticket gets a free pumpkin to take home.

Tickets cost £11.65 per person, with children under one entry free. For £15.65, tickets also include an hour of children’s play in the undercover playground. Adults do not need to purchase a game ticket.

Sacrewell Farm

Location : Thornhaugh, Peterborough, PE8 6HJ

Halloween starts at Sacrewell Farm on October 24th and runs until October 31st. Visitors can choose their perfect pumpkin and then head to the farm’s Stone Barn to carve it.

More Halloween fun is on offer at Sacrewell, including spooky crafts, Halloween storytelling, bug hunts, a spooky scavenger trail and face painting.

Guests can also feed the animals and enjoy the usual farm fun. There is also a spooky tractor ride on offer for £2. Tickets to pick and carve a pumpkin cost £6.

Freshfields Farm

Location : Benwick Road, Huntingdon, PE26 2XU

Freshfields Farm is opening the farm again for people to come and pick a pumpkin. Admission is free and there are plenty of pumpkins on offer, as well as some Instagram-worthy photo opportunities.

After a busy time of pumpkin picking, people can also enjoy a drink in the coffee car and a bite to eat. The farm only accepts cash.
