JoJo Siwa showed off an elegant style change when she kissed boyfriend Chris Hughes at a recent red carpet event.
Siwa, 23, and Hughes, 33, attended Dancers Against Cancer’s 2026 Gala Of The Stars on Thursday (October 22) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. The gala raises funds for dancers, choreographers and their loved ones affected by cancer.
The pair were affectionate on the red carpet, with Siwa kissing Hughes as she posed for photos.
Siwa wore a white lace mini dress with collar detail, paired with glittery heels, while Hughes wore all black.
It’s a far cry from her trademark hair bows and bright, clashing colors.
And the joint red carpet outing has fans in their feelings.
Someone said on X: “This makes me so happy to see people so in love.” Another said: “It’s so great to see JoJo so wonderfully happy living a great life! She looks beautiful!”
A third wrote: “What a difference! She seems happy.” As another added: “So glad they’re still together.”
Chris Hughes was “definitely” thinking of proposing
Hughes previously told The Sun: “I’ve definitely given it some thought. But I don’t know the exact place or what time of day. I think spontaneity would be good, something a little different from your usual ways, but if it feels right, I know.
He added: “I come from a family where you get married, you have kids, and that’s what life is all about.”
The couple started dating after meeting in the UK Celebrity Big Brother House last year.
Their latest appearance comes a year after they made their red carpet debut together at Dancers Against Cancer’s 2025 Gala.
Chris Hughes on long-distance love
Speaking to the Daily Mail in May, Hughes said he had “accepted” the challenges of a long-distance relationship with Siwa.
“It’s complicated, but it’s not as complicated as people think,” he said. “So many people ask me this, and it’s like, before the last few months, we would see each other every month, in one way or another, whether she’s here or I’m going out there, so it’s never as exhausting as people think.”
Is JoJo Siwa LGBTQ+?
Earlier Dance moms Star Siwa came out as part of the LGBTQ+ community in January 2021, but was hesitant to give herself a specific label.
She later came out as pansexual before coming out as a lesbian.
However, her feelings began to change while she was in the Celebrity Big Brother House. At the time, she was dating non-binary Australian star Kath Ebbs at the time.
Siwa realized that “queer” was more accurate than “lesbian”, and she and Ebbs broke up before Siwa and Hughes officially started dating in June 2025.
She said in April 2026 that she now identifies as queer and pansexual.
