Liam Payne’s ex-girlfriend Kate Cassidy has found herself under fire from some after sharing her Halloween outfit.
The former One Direction star, from Wolverhampton, died in a tragic incident in Argentina in October 2024, just days after his partner Kate returned to the States.
He had fallen from a hotel balcony, with his medical cause of death confirmed as polytrauma with internal and external bleeding.
Kate came under fire after she posted a picture of herself covered in blood for Halloween wearing a black leotard, with some saying they felt it was “disrespectful to Liam”.

Captioning the picture on Instagram, she said: “and she died of a broken heart” with a broken heart emoji.
She later deleted the post and re-uploaded the pictures with the caption ‘BLOODY MARY’.
One follower wrote: “This is honestly terrible considering how Liam lost his life.”
A second said: “So disrespectful to Liam, this is debatable”
Another fan pointed out: “This next to Liam’s photo on your grid is really insensitive”
And a fourth added: “Wow. This is innocent beyond any level of marking, how indecisive it is. Talk about going from mourning someone you ‘love’ and ‘adoring’ to making a sick video with incredible background music and trying to make it sexual ~ no girl… NO”
Others stuck up for Kate, writing: “So because her boyfriend died she can’t dress up for Halloween? Please relax everyone. I’d imagine he’s annoyed at these comments.”
