The 35-year-old shared photos of the birth on Instagram and said it “wasn’t quite as easy as planned”.

Announcing Clark’s arrival, she wrote: “Arriving a little earlier than expected and not quite as easy as planned, our little family of four finished on Monday.

“Our hearts have never been so full, and I would do it all over again for you, Clark.”

Scarlett and Scott are already parents to their three-year-old son, Jude.

The star has spoken openly about her fertility struggles, saying it took four years for her and Scott to conceive Jude and they weren’t sure if they could have another child.

Speaking before Clark’s birth, she said: ‘Because it took us so long to have Jude and we were so grateful to have Jude, we honestly didn’t know if a second child would ever happen for us.

“But actually it happened pretty quickly for us. So I was like maybe we could have a third child. I wouldn’t say no.

“I’ve always craved that big family energy and I just love it. I’d have ten if I could.”

The TV presenter was hoping for another boy, so Jude would have a brother.

She said: “All my family and friends knew I wanted another boy. Of course it would be wonderful to have a girl – a healthy baby is all that matters – but my preference was a boy, to give Jude a brother.

“I’m just so happy for him. He has someone to share his life with now.”
