GMP confirmed that a missing persons report was made to the police on August 9, adding that inquiries had been made to locate Angelo.
John says that after he was reported missing, the family also searched for him, but did not know of his whereabouts until they were told of his death in Tameside.
“He was really good, his stepfamily absolutely adored him,” John said. “He was great with kids absolutely great with kids.
“All the kids are absolutely devastated. He had a lot of grandkids. It’s good, my brother had a bit of a past, but he’s turned his life around.”
