Radio host Charlamagne Tha Gott warned Democrats not to let their midterm success go to their heads, warning that they must take action to show they are committed to serving their constituents.
“But here is why I need the Democrats to pay close attention. Do not get comfortable, because you know, a Democratic victory did not prove that they deserved lasting trust. Americans rejected MAGA and Republicans, but that does not automatically mean that they trust the Democrats,” he warned.
“I don’t want to hear two more years of the Democrats telling us how dangerous Donald Trump is. We know that. Okay? That’s why there was such a refusal from Trump last night.
“We know he’s dangerous. That’s why you won. I have a question. OK? What the F are you going to do with the power we the people just gave you, Democrats? OK?”

Charlamagne then urged the Democrats to address a number of issues when they come into office.
“You have the House, you have the Senate. So, come January, I want to see an actual agenda. What’s your plan to lower housing costs? Are you going to build more affordable housing? What about health care? Are you going to fight to lower premiums, protect Medicaid? Are you going to prevent Americans from going broke because they’re sick? What about wages?” he asked.
“People are working two and three jobs and still can’t afford to live. What are you doing to make sure that a full-time job can really support a family?” Charlamagne continued.
“And while we’re at it, what about all this corruption we’ve seen? And are we getting proper investigations into conflicts of interest? Huh? Government contractors and politicians using public office to enrich themselves? I hope so.”
Theo Wold, a former White House deputy assistant for domestic policy during Trump’s first term, called Charlamagne’s comments “unintelligible” in comments to Fox News Digital.
“Once again Charlamagne shows how clueless he is,” Wold said. “He, like so many voters who turn to Democrats, is laboring under the misconception that Democrats have a platform or an intention to address affordability, health care or flat wages for working families.
“Democrats will do exactly what revolutionary ideologues have always done: move to consolidate their power and permanently change the institutions of government.”

Wold warned that Democrats would try to push radical changes like abolishing the Electoral College as a pretext to address affordability concerns.
“But in reality, the Democrats will do exactly as they promised: punish their enemies and radically transform our nation,” he added.
Charlamagne also credited Democrats for moving away from culture war messages and focusing on voters’ economic concerns.
“There is no talk of wakeness,” he said. “There is no conversation [of] Identity politics. They are out there talking about affordability. And you have some really good quality candidates on the Democratic side.
“And man, last night people voted their interest. It wasn’t about the party. It wasn’t about, you know, that MAGA cult. It was about, you know what, I got to get out here and vote my interest. I’m getting my A– bumped financially.”
