TORIES NEED TO GET IT TOGETHER
What is wrong with the Conservatives in Canada? In Alberta, a riding group passed a motion asking Danielle Smith to conduct another leadership review.

I consider myself a conservative supporter, but am almost ready to abandon the whole party. I personally believe that Smith is one of the few who got into politics for all the right reasons. She is the strongest leader the West has had in years. I would like to adopt her as Premier of Ontario.
The federal party is just as bad. It changes leaders almost as often as the rest of us change socks and underwear. Pierre Poilievre is also a very strong leader, but the caucus members always allow the liberals and the state-supported media to define him.
Are they all too stupid to realize that their constant bickering and bickering is destroying their credibility with the electorate, who rightly deduce that if they cannot govern and discipline themselves, they are incapable of governing Canada?
Until they all grow up, behave like responsible adults and work as cohesive units that strongly support their elected leaders, governing Canada will remain as elusive as a mirage in the desert.

LOTS OF CASH, SMALL CHANGE
Re: EDITORIAL: The Liberals’ Indigenous Donation Pit, online, 29 Sept.
Kudos for properly informing Canadians where billions of their tax dollars have gone. (According to a study by the Fraser Institute, total inflation-adjusted federal spending on Indigenous programs and services will hit $40.8 billion for the 2024/25 fiscal year.)
That is a reasonable amount of cash, but many reserves still lack clean water and many live in appalling conditions.
As prime minister, Stephen Harper brought in the First Nations Financial Transparency Act after complaints from those on reserves that they had no idea what public funds were being made available for, but Justin Trudeau stopped short of implementing it. This resulted in many reserves never having improved conditions.
