Russell Brand’s wife, Laura Gallacher, returned to court on Friday after testifying in his defense during the star’s rape trial.
Mrs. Gallacher, 38, took the witness stand on Thursday, where she spoke about her husband’s character.
While she was again by the comedian and actor’s side as he arrived at Southwark Crown Court on Friday.
Brand’s wife of nine years stood firmly by his side throughout the trial, which is in its third week.
Brand, 51, is accused of raping and sexually assaulting a series of women, facing charges spanning 10 years from 1999 to 2009. He denies all allegations.
Giving evidence on Thursday, Mrs Gallacher said: “Russell, my husband, is caring, he is kind, he is a wonderful father to our children,” she said.
“He is an amazingly attentive man. “He has an eye for details that I never knew before. “The way he treats me is to really know me, I feel completely seen by him in every way.
“I love him very much.”
At one point he could be seen mouthing words in her direction when she told Southwark Crown Court about his baptism.
The entertainer showed little emotion during his trial, but was seen smiling broadly at his wife during parts.
He let out an audible laugh as she told the court: “We have a lot of friends and there are colleagues, and we are grateful for these people.”

The 38-year-old is an author and illustrator who has been married to Russell Brand since 2017.
Raised in Surrey on the Wentworth estate, she began a career in restaurant and nightclub management after studying art at university.
Her father is Scottish retired professional golfer Bernard Gallacher, who captained the European Ryder Cup team three times, in 1991, 1993 and 1995.
Her sister is Kirsty Gallacher, who was a long-term presenter on Sky Sports.

How did she meet Russell Brand?
The couple had dated shortly before Brand’s first marriage to Katy Perry, when he was an up-and-coming comedian.
They were introduced in 2017 by Kirsty, who shared an agent with Brand, although it was reported that Kirsty initially “begged her to call it quits”.
At the time, he said he was not interested in monogamy and the couple, aged 19 and 31, soon separated.

The couple then crossed paths eight years later in 2015 after both suffered heartaches.
Laura had just broken up with her boyfriend, and Russell was newly divorced from pop star Katy Perry.
“My ex literally moved out of our apartment that day and I was heartbroken, with mascara on my face,” said Laura Grazia.
“A friend took me for a walk on the canal in East London, where I had never been in my life, and when we got to the footpath, Russell was standing there as he organized it.”
She told the Made by Mammas podcast in 2020 that Brand “looked so different,” and that they knew right away that this time it was serious.

“You have to rebuild your foundations and trust again, we did it the right way. It was very slow, it was getting to know each other and going out on day trips together.”
“I remember him saying, ‘I think I want a quiet life and a family,’ and it was exactly what I wanted.” So, then it was about seeing if we could build a foundation to do that,” she told you.
The couple tied the knot in August 2017, marrying in a church ceremony near their home in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire.
The wedding was attended by friends and family, as well as daughter Mabel, who was nine months old at the time.

The couple has three children. Their first was Mabel in 2016, followed by another girl, Peggy, in 2018 and a boy in 2023.

They don’t often share updates about their children on social media but around the time Mabel was born, Brand said he loved being a father.
Appearing on the Megyn Kelly Today show in 2017, he told host Megyn Kelly: “She is so beautiful and so glorious and so full of joy and love.”
However, he added in a small joke that his daughter was a “nasty, vindictive, nasty little character” who continued to pull at his chest hair.
In 2019, he revealed in an interview that Laura is in charge of taking care of the children and that he has never changed a diaper.

“Laura does it all,” he said. “I’m dedicated to it, dedicated to it, but I’m still surprised when it’s like, ‘Oh my God, this is f**king really hard and it’s so tiring.’
Laura has published a number of books, including The Joy Journal for Magical Everyday Play, aimed at children and The Joy Journal For Grown-ups, for adults. Her and husband would also organize wellness events together.
She would regularly post about family life, crafts and wellness on her social media pages, although these have all been deactivated.
The family moved to Florida in 2024, where they live in a $1 million bungalow. Brand has reinvented himself as a right-wing Christian and wellness content creator.
Laura, who is also a Christian, is sometimes seen alongside him in some of his videos, but has explained that she prefers to stay out of the public eye.
