Three men in court accused of Hartlepool murder

Hemewand Ali Hussain was found dead after being shot within minutes of arriving in Charterhouse Street, Hartlepool, on September 14, 2019.

Daniel Nerim Kadiu will appear at Teesside Crown Court alongside Armando Marku, 26, and Sajmir Dodoveci, 40, accused of premeditating the 32-year-old’s murder.

Judge Francis Laird KC, the Recorder of Middlesbrough, remanded the three defendants, all of no fixed address, in custody until their trial on February 15, next year.

Four people have already been jailed for the gangland-style execution of the 32-year-old father of two in two separate trials.

In 2022, jurors found that Eugert Merizaj played a key role in the killing team by persuading Mr. Hussain to go to the address, and he was jailed for at least 32 years.

Noza Saffari, 39, of Park Lane, Middlesbrough, was jailed for 15 years after being convicted of manslaughter and cleared of manslaughter.

Qazim Marku, 25, of Maxwell Road, West Drayton, London, and Dorian Pirija, 33, of Trillo Avenue, Bolton, were each jailed for 19 years after being convicted of manslaughter and cleared of manslaughter.
