Viewers of the BBC series are worried about a couple
Strictly Come Dancing fans are worried about Dani Dyer and Nikita Kuzmin leaving the BBC show next after being given the dreaded ‘death slot’.
When the launch show of the new series aired last year, Dani confirmed she had been forced to quit the show after suffering a devastating injury in rehearsal.

As viewers will recall, Dani was then replaced at the last minute by West End star Amber Davies, who was in the final of the BBC series.
On GK Barry’s podcast, Saving Grace, Dani revealed how she struggled after having to leave the show, admitting she was “heartbroken” about it.
She said: “I remember going through it at the time. I was really sad in my room for a good week.” Jared struggles when I’m really sad so he just leaves a coffee outside the door for me and says things like “let me know if you need me”. At the end my mom came around and she was like, ‘we’re changing your bed’, I was like, ‘I have no purpose’, she goes ‘you’re a mother of three, get up!’
However, this year she got a second chance when she returned to the BBC Ballroom with partner Nikita Kuzmin. On Saturday (October 17) night it was Icons Week for the stars and Dani arrived as Mariah Carey.
Although their rumba was described as “nervous” by Shirley Ballas, the panel was full of praise for the duo. However, Strictly fans at home have been left worried that she is now in trouble as she came second – known as the ‘death slot’.
It is a popular conspiracy among fans that whoever is second is in danger of going to the dance. Audiences tend to remember the high-energy routines or standout dances at the beginning and later in the show, making it harder for the second couple to keep in the audience’s mind when the mood is opened.

However, fingers crossed for Dani and Nikita as the judges awarded them an impressive 25 points. Dani herself admitted that she struggled with the routine this week, but thanked Nikita for all his support.
In X, @ca1usx wrote: “Death slot rumba oh no” and @jess_frances_b agreed: “NOOOOOOOOOOO NOT THE DEATSHLOT!!!!!! I really need the votes for Dani and Nikita to come through now, everything seems to be against them this week!!!”
