In an update shared this morning, Ramblers Country Café said repair work to fix problems caused by the storm had been delayed as strong winds meant engineers were unable to work safely.
The business said it is a “really difficult time” for staff and residents who remain without power and hopes power will be restored soon.
The owners also revealed that they lost all stock stored in their fridges and freezers during the outage.
A statement said: “Unfortunately we have now lost all stock in our fridges and freezers.
“Please bear with us when the power comes back on because we are starting from scratch and need time to restock before reopening.”
The cafe thanked customers for their patience and support, adding that there will be further updates as more information becomes available.
Yesterday the business announced it would be unable to open due to a “serious power cut” affecting the area, saying it had no indication of when the issue would be resolved.
The Ramblers team said that they “hate not to be open and serve all our lovely customers their delicious food and hot drinks” and thank customers for their understanding.
