I’m not ashamed to admit that I watched at least 40% of Celebrity Traitors for Claudia Winkleman’s fashion.
It’s not exactly a warm take to say that her stylist (thanks Sinead McKeefry for your Instagram outfit dissections) nailed the perfect Mix of heritage and goth in Claudia’s outfits, and it’s the exact vibe I want to embody this winter.
Unfortunately for me, I don’t have a personal stylist, nor the budget to splash out on some of Claudia’s clothes. But what I do have, folks, is the purchasing power.
So in memory of the end of Celebrity Traitors, I put that talent to good use to find the best affordable alternatives to some of the main pieces of clothing that Claudia wears on the show – and even recreated some of the outfits myself.
Outerwear
There is one advantage to living in a country with perpetually cold winters: outerwear. If there’s one thing Claudia and Sinead understand, it’s that a great coat or jacket can often make or break a winter outfit.
Throughout the season, Claudia can be seen wearing at least one great coat in every episode, from a wax Barbour jacket, to a full-length wool coat, eskimo-like faux fur jacket, and endless bombers.
I have to rock Claudia’s commitment to a statement collar, whether that’s a funnel neck or pop of faux fur, and luckily those are all over the high street at the moment, so it’s relatively easy (and affordable) to recreate the look.

Capes
Of course, it wouldn’t be The Traitor without a cape, which Claudia sports alongside the traitors in the show’s opening sequence.
While a cape can easily zeeter into costume territory, Sinead grounds the look with a pair of fingerless gloves and some excellent lug sole boots.

I really felt like I could announce the scariest mission of your life in this Ro & Zo cape, which is currently on sale and comes with a bang on trend collar to modernize it a bit.

Shirts and knits
Another thing Claudia’s style proves is that a basic body temperature post-Halloween doesn’t have to look bulky.
Through her styling, Sinead also teaches us a masterclass in knitwear and shirt layering, with endless combinations of excellent knitwear worn on top of a delicate lace or pussy bow shirt. It makes me think: Victoriana is so back.

However, Claudia is also not afraid of a simple statement piece of knitwear, such as a Celine stripey jumper and great cargo pants.
This Ro & Zo knit was as close as I could find to what Claudia is wearing here, and it’s on sale now.

pants and skirts
Okay, I’ve already praised her pieces and her outerwear, but it’s honestly safe to say that every part of Claudia’s outfits is perfect.
Pleated skirts really are the hero piece of The Traitors, and I can’t see one now without thinking of her. And while I’m extremely jealous of her Chopova Lowena skirt and vintage Vivienne Westwood pants, I had to settle for some more affordable (but equally great) options.
This M&S option looks pretty much identical to the Le Kilt skirts Claudia is wearing on the show, but is just £48 (be quick though, it’s sold out).

Claudia can often be seen at the Round Table with her fashion everything, with appearances by designers such as Simone Rocha, Shushu/Tong and Bella Freud.
More affordable, but just as glam, alternatives can be found at Sister Jane and Boden.
Here I don’t wear, but stop, a Sister Jane dress that is a nice exchange for the Shushu/Tong dress Claudia on the second round table. If you decide to get it, size up!
