(Re: ‘How the separatist Parti Québécois took back power in Quebec,’ calgary sun.com) Here we are, in eastern Canada, Quebec laying the foundations for leaving Canada. And in Western Canada we have the province of Alberta, which is identical to La Belle province. We don’t have to be rocket scientists to figure this out. But our nation today is imploding right before our eyes. As the idiom says, ‘Nations rise or fall on their leadership.’ According to all the evidence presented, this nation is in free fall.

Terrifying opinion

(Re: Editorial – ‘Higher Immigration a looming disaster’, Oct 2. I am appalled at the diatribe against immigrants, not only by the editor’s comments, but by Premier Smiths devious referendum questions. I will remind the intolerant among us that we are all immigrants living on First Nations who live on First Nations to vote for the country if you vote the country back.

Loser Greyhound

I saw some letters about the Greyhound bus termination nine years ago. I worked at Greyhound headquarters until I retired after 18 years in 2006. I used Greyhound frequently to visit with friends and family, traveling about 80,000 miles in Canada and America. We stopped in many small communities on the trip where the driver delivered packages to businesses. To say Greyhound is not to be missed is an understatement. It was an essential service for small towns.
