Matthew Ashton, Managing Director of Brighton and Hove Buses, said: “The Santa Bus has become one of Brighton & Hove’s best-loved festive traditions, bringing communities together and raising vital funds for local charities.

The Santa Bus has already raised £481,649.51 in the 22 years since it started.

This year’s tour needs £18,350 to reach the half million mark.

Running over 20 nights from November 24 to December 23, the bus will travel through neighborhoods across Brighton and Hove, raising money for 12 local charities and community organisations.

Each night the tour starts between 17:00 and 17:30 and ends between 19:00 and 20:30, with the exception of Kemp Town where the bus runs from 15:45 to 16:20.

Santa himself likes to go on the road.

He said: “We are in a snowball of something very special.

“Thanks to the generosity of local people, the Santa Bus has already raised an incredible £481,650.

“If we can raise another £18,350 this year, we will together reach the magical milestone of £500,000 for local good causes. Ho Ho Ho!”

Brighton and Hove Buses is calling on businesses across the city to support the campaign by becoming official Santa Bus collection points.

Shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants, offices and community spaces are encouraged to participate.

Participating businesses will receive a collection pot, promotional posters and social media assets to encourage donations from customers, visitors and staff.

Every donation raised will support charities and community groups across Brighton and Hove.

The Santa Bus will be out every night except Sunday, bringing festive fun and a chance to catch a glimpse of Santa and his helpers as they travel around town.

The bus is also tracked in real time with an online tracking system, allowing families to see when Santa will arrive in their area.
