Rather than focusing solely on pedigrees, the light-hearted competition featured categories including Most Like Hire Owner and Coolest Canine/Pup.

Dogs and their owners could also watch agility demonstrations and pick up tips and advice during interactive training sessions.

A host of independent retailers set up stalls around the event, offering everything from gourmet dog treats and toys to leads and outdoor accessories.

There were many opportunities for visitors to explore the wider Raby Estate as well.

Admission to Bark in the Park includes access to the Deer Park and Raby’s five-acre Walled Gardens, giving owners the chance to enjoy an autumn walk with their dogs.

The event provided many memorable sights as dogs, ranging from tiny puppies to much larger breeds, explored the grounds and posed for pictures.

Bark in the Park has become a popular fixture in Raby Castle’s events calendar, bringing dogs and their owners together for a day of celebration for all hands.
